The Idaho CapEd Foundation recently awarded two $10,000 grants to support education in Idaho. Hansen Elementary school received one of the grants for a new gym floor . The original carpet from when the school was built in the 1970s will be replaced to improve the room’s functionality as a lunchroom and for indoor sports.
Our School District was awarded $5000.00 for HS new lunch tables and $5000.00 for Elementary breakfast tables from Idaho Dairy Council. What a wonderful asset to our community the Dairy Council is and their generous Grants for School improvement. Thank you!
Thank you First Federal for the $5000 grant to go towards replacing the elementary gym carpet.
Mrs. Adams, Mrs. Bingham, Mrs. Kuykendall, Mrs. Parkinson, Mrs. Schroeder, Mrs. Skinner, Mrs. Solosabal, and Mrs. Triner attended a Eureka Math training in California in the summer of 2016 thanks to a school improvement grant the elementary received for training.
Hansen High Schoolrecieved a $20,000 grant from the Idaho Future Fund in ICF to offer dual credit courses in math, chemistry, health sciences and English. Due to the grant it allows the school to offer these credits free when they would have otherwise cost $195 for a 3-credit course. Read more on in the article below
