Superintendent/Federal Program Director

The Hansen School District is accepting applications for Superintendent of Schools. The district is seeking an innovative individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for education who can balance the variety of demands involved with managing a small district in southern Idaho with just over 300 students, preK-12. The successful candidate will have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide overall district leadership, promote a positive work and learning environment, implement required state and federal programs, manage district finances and facilities, and build community support for the school. Additional roles could include federal programs director, grant writer, or teacher, depending on individual skills and district needs. 

Desired Qualifications
Applicants should have a valid Idaho administrator credential with a superintendent endorsement (Ed.S.) It is preferable that the applicant have at least 10 years of educational experience and 3 years of administrative experience. This position is a full-time, 12-month position starting July 1, 2026. Salary will be determined based on education, experience, and agreed-upon roles.

Activity Bus Driver

 Hansen School District is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic candidate to join our team as an activity bus driver. Applicants should have a commercial driver’s license with a school passenger endorsement. However, the district is willing to help defray the costs of training to obtain a license.

Maintenance, Custodial and Grounds Director

 Hansen School District is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic candidate to join our team as maintenance, custodial, and grounds director.  The successful candidate will oversee the custodial operations of individual school facilities and ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable school environment. The candidate will also maintain the physical grounds in excellent condition so that full use is available at all times and the grounds are aesthetically pleasing to staff and the general public. The start date for this position is July 1, 2026.

Gear Up Coordinator

 Hansen School District is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic candidate to join our team as the Gear Up Coordinator.

 The GEAR UP site coordinator will:
 Orient parents, students, faculty, and staff to GEAR UP and raise awareness of the benefits of postsecondary education among school personnel, parents, and the community at large.
 Serve as a college planning resource for teachers, educators, counselors and parents.
 Recruit, train, and maintain a GEAR UP school-site team and a mentoring team.
 Develop, implement, and/or enhance parent workshops.
 Coordinate academic year college visits for students.
  Develop and implement comprehensive pre-college programs for middle and high school students that include career exploration, academic planning and preparation, and financial planning.
 Coordinate or perform annual planning sessions with GEAR UP students.
 Work cooperatively with educators to provide enrichment activities that include job-shadowing, college visits, etc.
 Manage data collection and entry from schools and provide continuous feedback to the GEAR UP state staff and school officials regarding project benchmarks and outcomes.
 Collect rosters from each event, listing students and families served.
 Submit monthly invoices, receipts, logs, and reporting documents to GEAR UP Idaho state staff.
 Develop and maintain an annual program plan.
 Attend mandatory state or national professional development or training events.
 Plan and coordinate professional development for school staff.
 Support GEAR UP state initiatives through coordinating school activities, providing planning assistance or acting as a chaperone.
 Serve as a mentor and positive role model for GEAR UP students; encourage students in the eligible cohorts to participate in GEAR UP activities.
 Work to expand capacity for college access in the school and community.
 Prioritize compliance with all GEAR UP state and federal regulations.

 This position will be paid as a stipend.
