Magic Valley schools leverage St. Luke’s grants to support kids
St. Luke’s provided $2,000 grants to 12 public elementary schools in Twin Falls and Jerome counties for the 2021-22 school year. Schools were required to use the funds for physical activity or nutrition efforts of their choice. Schools recently reported how they are leveraging the funds, supporting new playground and PE equipment, safe routes to schools, structured play programs, trail development, PE instruction, drinking fountains and even standing desks. Hansen Elementary School used the funding to purchase enough balls to ensure each student had their own to play with during recess.
