Students in Mrs. Carter's 7th-grade Social Studies class are bringing ancient Sumerian history to life through hands-on learning with cylinder seals, one of the most important art forms of early civilization. By studying how seals were used to show identity, ownership, and communication, students created their own designs to represent their stories and values. This project builds historical understanding, creativity, critical thinking, and meaningful reflection, allowing students to connect the past to skills used today.
