Students in Mrs. Carter's 7th-grade Social Studies class are bringing ancient Sumerian history to life through hands-on learning with cylinder seals, one of the most important art forms of early civilization. By studying how seals were used to show identity, ownership, and communication, students created their own designs to represent their stories and values. This project builds historical understanding, creativity, critical thinking, and meaningful reflection, allowing students to connect the past to skills used today.
We are proud of their thoughtful, authentic work!

Mrs. Moerer's class is learning about Abraham Lincoln

Paper Circuits!

Elementary basketball is off to a great start!

Don’t be surprised when you show up at HHS and see a few mock crime scenes set up around campus. They’re part of student learning and discovery. Not all learning happens at a desk. Classes like Forensics give our students hands-on opportunities to think critically, solve problems, and explore real-world careers.

If you happen to have breakable plates (like dinner plates) that are taking up storage room, we would love to put them to use for an upcoming Student Council Activity. They would not be returned. Please bring them to the front office at Hansen High School. Thank you!

Did you know?
- Your child does not have to have the main entree, as long as they have the rest of the items needed they are good.
- If your child brings cold lunch and wants to add to it they can get a milk, fruit and veggies and it will count as a meal. This works great if your child is on free lunch.
- We always have a wide variety of fruits and veggies for them to choose from.
- The fruit/ veggie bar is an option for them to add to their meal. They are able to take what they will eat from there.
Today's lunch was a hit!! These are the beef bombs. Homemade roll with ground beef mixture inside. Homemade macaroni salad, homemade baked beans and all the choices of fruit and vegetables. Missing the milk but ran out of room.

The first week back to school, whether in August or January is the perfect time to get up and moving and learn science hands on and all in! In physical science, that meant stretching a giant slinky down the hallway and making waves - watch that energy move! In chemistry, it meant making bouncy balls!

These students met their 2nd quarter accelerated reader or homework goal!

Students in Mrs. Moreno's class explored Shakespeare’s language through a fun, respectful wordplay activity by creating Shakespearean-style insults and working together to decode their meanings. The lesson sparked creativity, critical thinking, and plenty of laughter while reinforcing the power of thoughtful language.

Congrats to these students!
